Get ready to embark on a thrilling journey with the 2024 Mini Countryman, set to make its Australian debut next year! Unveiled alongside the innovative Mini Cooper electric hatch at the prestigious Munich motor show, this marks a groundbreaking moment in Mini’s 64-year legacy. The third-generation Countryman small SUV is here to redefine your driving experience.

🇦🇺 Scheduled to arrive in Australia between July and September 2024, these new models will be joined by an electrifying surprise – the Aceman electric city SUV. Initially revealed as a concept last year, this game-changer is gearing up for its official production debut in April. The Aceman promises to be an indirect replacement for the beloved Clubman wagon.

But the real excitement lies beneath the hood of the 2024 Countryman. For the first time ever, you’ll have the power to choose between internal combustion-engine (petrol/diesel) or electric capabilities. Say goodbye to the plug-in hybrid version of the old model!

This Countryman has grown in both size and technical prowess compared to its predecessor, all thanks to a visionary move by parent company BMW. The development and production of the new Mini SUV are now intertwined with the latest BMW X1.

For our eco-conscious drivers in Europe, we’re thrilled to introduce two electric Countryman models. First, the front-wheel drive Countryman E, boasting 150kW/250Nm, and then the all-wheel drive Countryman SE All4, with a staggering 230kW/494Nm.

Ready for some numbers? The 0-100km/h acceleration times are a swift 8.6 seconds and 5.6 seconds for the top speeds of 170km/h and 180km/h, respectively. Both electric Countryman models come equipped with a 66.4kWh lithium-ion battery, supporting a maximum charging power of 130kW.

But here’s the kicker – we’re talking about serious driving range. The Countryman E can take you on a WLTP-certified adventure covering 464km, while the Countryman SE offers an impressive 433km of electric freedom. And don’t worry about bringing some extra gear; the towing capacity stands at a solid 750kg.

For those who still appreciate the roar of an engine, Mini’s got you covered. Turbocharged 1.5-litre three-cylinder and 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engines, along with turbo 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel options, will hit the European market in February 2024. These models also feature 48-volt mild hybrid assistance and offer a remarkable towing capacity of up to 2000kg.

So, whether you’re all about the electric future or still cherish the power of petrol, the 2024 Mini Countryman is your passport to a thrilling driving adventure. Stay tuned for more technical and performance details as we rev up for an unforgettable journey!
